Red Rake might have a fairly long and reasonably successful history, but their recent releases haven’t been particularly innovative. In fact, we were starting to become a bit worried about their prospects, but it seems that there isn’t much to be worried about now that the Super 25 Stars release is out. What we have on our hands is a fascinatingly complex release, even though its playing field consists of only 5 reels, 3 rows and 30 paylines.

There’s not much of a theme in Super 25 Stars, and the look of the entire slot is actually somewhat bland. The interface is supposed to resemble a classic slot machine, but it isn’t as cool as you’d perhaps like it to be. It’s clear what the designers were going for here, but the final result is a complete hit-or-miss, and you’ll either love it, or hate it.

The Super 25 Stars slot combines a low-medium volatility level with a fairly low 1,336x jackpot. Its hit frequency is stunningly high at 54%, and you can enjoy the action for stakes between £0.30 and £75. Unfortunately, the slot’s theoretical RTP isn’t particularly good, clocking in at 95.30%.

Super 25 Wilds can appear only on the middle reel and they work as Wilds.

At random, stars can light up and symbols can crystallize into Crystal symbols, which then leads to various symbol transformations and win multipliers. These Crystal wins can be multiplied by up to 50x, so they can bring you some serious payouts!

Each losing spin contributes to the Super 15 Progress Bar. Once you manage to fill it, it will trigger the Stars Fusion Minigame, which is essentially a Hold and Win feature that merges its special symbols into various winning combinations after each respin.

Super 12 Stars can then land on the middle reel to launch the Lucky Stars feature, which is another Hold and Win feature that can net you coin wins and/or Jackpot prizes.

Super 7 Stars can appear on the middle reel and work as Expanding Wilds that expand to cover an entire reel. When they expand, they also grant a free respin of all other reels.

Super 5 Stars and Stars Scatters are then the game’s Scatters, which means that they pay out even outside paylines.

If you land 3 Bonus symbols under the right circumstances, you’ll trigger the Free Spins feature, which starts with a simple pick’em minigame that determines not only how many free spins you’ll get, but also how big your win multiplier will be. The worst option has 5 free spins with a 2x win multiplier, while the best option has 20 free spins with a 3x win multiplier.
